Get Ahead: FAFSA News and Your Estimated NEC Award in Under 10 Minutes
Navigating the financial aid landscape can feel overwhelming, especially with the delayed FAFSA this year. Here are some steps that you can take right now to answer, “How much aid will I get?” and “What will it cost me to attend New England College next year?”
1. FAFSA Completion: If you’ve completed the FAFSA and included New England College, fantastic! Your information is in good hands. NEC has begun sending out financial aid awards for incoming fall 2024 students. Financial aid awards for returning undergraduate and graduate students will begin at the end of April. Students should check their email for financial aid award information.
Haven’t completed the FAFSA yet? No worries! Go to studentaid.gov today and use school code 002579. Once we receive your information from the Department of Education, your award will be on its way.
2. NEC Net Price Calculator: Want an estimate of your award in under 10 minutes and additional $500 scholarship? Complete the NEC Net Price Calculator and get an estimate that’s as close as it gets to your actual award.
3. Personalized Assistance: Have questions or need guidance? Our Financial Aid Counselors are here for you. Schedule a 1:1 appointment and remember: No question is too big or too small. We’re dedicated to ensuring you get the support you need. If you’d prefer to email, reach us at sfs@nec.edu. Or you can drop in for weekly virtual financial aid office hours every Thursday any time between 3:00 and 5:00 p.m. EST.
We’re looking forward to welcoming you to New England College!
P.S. In case you missed it, here’s some exciting news: NEC has announced no tuition increase for the upcoming year, for the second consecutive time. We’re thrilled to share this fantastic update with you.
