Dr. Carrie Colbert Wins ACBSP Teaching Excellence Award
Associate Professor of Business Administration at New England College selected as a regional baccalaureate/graduate degree award recipient.
Dr. Carrie Colbert, Associate Professor of Business Administration at New England College, has been selected as a regional recipient of the 2024 ACBSP Teaching Excellence Award. Each year, the Accreditation Council for Business Schools and Programs (ACBSP) celebrates excellence in teaching by recognizing faculty members who go above and beyond in their dedication to students.
“I am humbled and honored to be recognized for the work I do for my students,” Colbert stated. “My number one priority has always been my students and making sure they have everything they need to successfully achieve their professional and personal goals.”
Known as Dr. C. to her students, Colbert is an accomplished marketing management professional who teaches in New England College’s on-campus and online business programs at the undergraduate and graduate levels. In addition to her commitment in the classroom, Colbert holds five marketing certifications and is a member of the American Marketing Association and National Association of Professional Women. Over the last 20 years, Colbert has worked with Dole Food Company, Nielsen, Nestle USA, Kraft, Mission Tortillas, and Nissin Foods, along with various grocery and drug retailers. She also owns and operates Doctor Colbert Consulting, a marketing management consulting company that helps small businesses build their customer base and increase exposure.
“Dr. Carrie Colbert is a talented business academic in New England College’s Management Division. She has demonstrated consistent and strong performance as an expert in her field,” added Dr. Erin Wilkinson Hartung, Dean of the Management Division. “Dr. Colbert’s focus on student engagement makes her a role model as a business professor. This academic achievement is well deserved, and we celebrate Dr. Colbert’s teaching success. Congratulations, Dr. Colbert!”
Colbert will be celebrated at ACBSP Conference 2024 in Miami June 29–30. She will receive a crystal medallion and $500. As a regional award recipient at the baccalaureate/graduate degree level, she will be eligible for the International Teaching Excellence Award for baccalaureate/graduate degrees.
