The Countdown Is On: New England College Football Begins!
Dear New England College community,
I am thrilled to announce that the anticipation is over—football is kicking off at New England College! The excitement is palpable as we prepare to embark on this historic journey together.
On August 25, our very own NEC football team will play an intra-squad scrimmage at John Stark Regional High School at 12:00 noon. This is the first time the ‘Grims take to a full field for competitive action. This is a wonderful opportunity for fans, friends, family, and the community to get an early look at our team in action. Shuttles are scheduled to run from Simon to John Stark beginning at 11:30 a.m. We invite you all to come out and support our ‘Grims as they showcase their talent and dedication.
On August 28, right after our Convocation Ceremony, everyone is invited to attend an all-sports pep rally in the Simon Great Room. We will celebrate all our student-athletes and welcome the football team into the ‘Grims community. Please join us!
The official season opener is set for September 7, and it promises to be an unforgettable event. Our team will face off against Plymouth State University at 12:00 noon, marking the beginning of an exciting new chapter for NEC. We are organizing buses from the NEC campus to transport up to 100 students to Plymouth, ensuring a strong and enthusiastic presence at the game. The day will be filled with excitement, including free swag, tailgating, food, and fun. We encourage everyone to join us and show your support for our ‘Grims as we kick off the season in style. Students can reserve a seat on a bus by registering online.
