  Mary Tripod joined New England College in February 2024. She is a seasoned healthcare executive with over 20 years of expertise in delivering quality healthcare, building corporate business structures, and fostering positive change. Mary is a visionary professional with a track record of finding innovative ways to grow revenue and increase margins. She excels at performance management, healthcare administration, and business development, and is a dedicated change management leader who can implement operational changes to achieve goals. As a focused leader, she identifies innovative methods that produce organizational change and creates a positive corporate culture with engaged employees. Mary has a proven ability to identify and implement efficiency and operational solutions to ensure compliance while maximizing revenues, quality, and productivity. She is also skilled in cultivating key relationships through exemplary communication with professionals from diverse backgrounds at all levels of the organization.

  Outside of work, Mary and her twin boys live in Contoocook, where they love to hike, kayak, snowboard, and enjoy the beauty of New Hampshire.

• Dr. Nafees Qamar

  Bio
  Dr. Qamar has a background in electronic health records (EHR) and mobile health solutions (mHealth) and strives to bridge the gap between healthcare and technology for improved patient care and data management. His research innovations in EHR have facilitated seamless data integration, aiding healthcare professionals in making informed decisions, while his work in mHealth has harnessed mobile technologies to enhance healthcare accessibility and patient engagement. Dr. Qamar is also an Associate Professor at Bryant University, where he oversees the health informatics program.

  Throughout his career, Dr. Qamar has held significant roles at prestigious institutions, including the State University of New York, Vanderbilt University, and most recently, as an Associate Professor at Governors State University in Chicago. His journey has been fueled by a PhD in Computer Science from the University of Grenoble, France, followed by postdoctoral training at the United Nations University in Japan and Vanderbilt University in Nashville, Tennessee. These experiences have cultivated a multidisciplinary perspective, enabling him to contribute uniquely to the field of health informatics by integrating cutting-edge technology with healthcare practices.

  Bio
  Dr. Randy Anita Rutledge brings over 15 years of experience in health informatics, healthcare analytics, and data science to the NEC Health Informatics program. Her expertise spans the intersection of data science, healthcare, and informatics, making her a valuable resource for students aspiring to lead in these fields.

  In addition to her academic work, Dr. Rutledge has held leadership positions in public health informatics, including Vice President and Practice Lead at ICF International and Senior Project Manager at the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention. In these roles, she managed large-scale health informatics projects, oversaw cross-functional teams, and contributed to public health initiatives that improved operational efficiency and patient outcomes.

  Bio
  Shawn Desince, MS, MLS (ASCP)CM, has joined New England College as an Adjunct Professor. Shawn is completing a doctoral degree in Health Informatics with a concentration in Health Data Analytics at Rutgers University.

  With over 10 years of experience in healthcare, Shawn is the Chief Clinical Laboratory Scientist in the Cellular Therapy department at New York-Presbyterian Hospital/Columbia University Medical Center. His research interests encompass a wide range of topics, including healthcare information systems, health information technology, health data analytics, health data science, mobile health (mHealth), electronic health records (EHR), clinical decision support systems, pathology informatics, laboratory informatics, public health informatics, and the application of machine learning in healthcare delivery.
