New England College Professor Appointed to Scholastic Art Awards of New Hampshire
Tricia Gibbs, Associate Professor of Art and Design, joins the board after serving as an awards juror for six years.
Tricia Gibbs at the Institute of Art and Design (IAD) at New England College (NEC) was recently appointed to the Scholastic Art Awards of New Hampshire (SAANH) board of directors. Gibbs has served as an awards juror for six years. As a board member, she will assist in organizing student work, displaying art for the annual awards ceremony, and adjudicating the award entries.
“After being a juror and volunteer at the annual awards ceremony for years, I am honored to join the SAANH Board of Directors,” Gibbs said. “This opportunity perfectly blends my personal and professional commitments to art education and nurturing young artists.”
Gibbs joined New England College in 2012. She serves as Associate Professor of Art and Design and director of IAD’s pre-college art program for students 14–18 years old who want to study visual arts and creative writing while earning college credit. Gibbs is a fine art oil and mixed media painter.
“Tricia is a talented artist in her own right and shares that talent and passion for the arts with the next generation here at NEC and in the community,” stated Dr. Wayne F. Lesperance, Jr., President of New England College. “As a member of SAANH’s board of directors, she will continue to invest in and inspire young artists to find their own creative voices.”
