I’ve always appreciated the beauty of cars of all makes and models. However, instead of just admiring its worth as a whole, I’ve zoomed in. I’ve captured the structure of the car, but I didn’t leave the viewer anything else to look at. The world is blocked out and the only natural thing you might see would appear in the reflection of the paint. I want to focus in and capture the details of a vehicle body without adding any other outside elements. Trees, pavement, and people are warped into the paint, far removed from their real-world counterparts. My work will truly pique the interest of the few who are predisposed to car shows. Only they and other artists alike would genuinely respect my work for what it is. However, I wanted to attract the other percent of the audience that have no relationships with cars or car shows. Focusing on a small part will deter them from simply looking and walking away. Coming closer and taking another look would not only quell their confusion on what they are seeing but would also reveal the intricate details of modifications of human life sprinkled within.
